Yellow Puppies all around in this litter.  Good sized yellow puppies.  Bo & Dori is a favorite litter of ours here at the kennel.  This is the third time we have made the litter and every time I have been impressed.  Just like in litters past, the puppies all seem to have gorgeous heads.  Nice, squared off with great looking muzzles.  That classic look is here with this litter.  I have always been amazed with this litter too because the puppies have been very consistent in each litter — not to big and not to small.    In all reality, there is pretty much anything a lab lover could want here.

Pricing on this Litter:

Yellow Male: $1250.00

Yellow Female: $1500.00

THE SIRE

Bo new Litter

GMPR HPK’s Mr. Bo Jangles SH —

As I am sure you know by now, Bo is the litters sire — and if you have spent anytime looking at our dogs, it is easy to see that Bo is a big blocky square male that coming in at about 80 lbs.  Bo is a spirited dog that has a really nice balance between being a hunting machine and a dog that simply “hangs out” when he is off duty.  Again, I am sure you know this by now.

So why do I think that this will be a larger sized litter?  Simple — the pedigree indicates we have some size here. Bo’s Father is MPR Brocks Golden Nugget pictured in the grapics above.  Nugget was an 85 to 90 pound dog in his heyday. He was also a very leggy dog.  Nugget’s half brother was GMPR Cashzingers Cattail Corky — a large (90 lbs) good looking animal that is one of the APLA hall of fame dogs.   It would only make logical sense that since Nugget and Corky are half brothers that they have the same father.  That dog was a popular English import named Brock.  Brock was very good looking animal in his own right — and 80 lbs.  It is easy to see when you look at the pictures that these animals are related.  One other thing to note here is that Bo has two APLA hall of fame dogs in his pedigree.  AFC Trieven Twist and Shout MH is there in Bo’s pedigree three generations back.

Thus far, we have only discussed why the dogs will be larger — but I want to take the time to note the titles here:

  1.  HPK’s Mr Bo Jangles:
    1. Grand Master Pointing Retriever
    2. AKC Senior Hunter
  2. Brocks Golden Nugget:
    1. Master Pointing Retriever
  3. Cashzingers Cattail Corky:
    1. Grand Master Pointing Retriever
    2. American Pointing Labrador Association Hall of Fame Dog
  4. “Brock” Wyvernaxe Audley:
    1. Master Hunting Retriever (NAHRA)
    2. AKC Master Hunter
  5. Trieven Twist and Shout
    1. Amateur Field Champion
    2. AKC Master Hunter
    3. American Pointing Labrador Association Hall of Fame Dog

The titles speak for themselves, these dogs will hunt and hunt hard.

THE DAM

Dori

CPR HPK’s Just Keep Swimming (Dori)

So now I need to introduce you to Dori.  Dori is one of two CPR McGill’s Timber dogs I have at the kennel.  I have been thrilled to finally get to breed this female.  She and her sister hold a special place in my heart because their father was my buddy — and constant hunting companion for 11 years.  I have attached a quick video of Dori here simply for you to view  — She is quite hard to get on camera and when I do she keeps smiling at me.

Dori’s Sire was Timber — an 85 lb. red dog and Copper — and 85 lbs yellow female.  The size of the sire and dam — when mixed with Bo’s blood is going to give us a larger litter.  From there we get into the same logic as before.   The pedigree indicates we have some size here.   Nugget is in the pedigree again.  So is Corky — an therefore Brock too. Big dogs again. One final note on Dori — Her sire has Helm’s Point Doctor in his pedigree who — in the Midwest — was a very famous pointing dog.

Thus far, we have only discussed why the dogs will be larger — but I want to take the time to note the titles here:

  1.  HPK’s Mr Bo Jangles:
    1. Grand Master Pointing Retriever
    2. AKC Senior Hunter
  2. Brocks Golden Nugget:
    1. Master Pointing Retriever
  3. Cashzingers Cattail Corky:
    1. Grand Master Pointing Retriever

  4. “Brock” Wyvernaxe Audley:
    1. Master Hunting Retriever (NAHRA)
    2. AKC Master Hunter
  5. Helms Point Doctor
    1. No formal hunting title — simply a famous dog.

Bottom line — These will be larger dogs that will make the quintessential HPK dog.  Hunting Machine.  Family Pet.  Damn Fine Looking Animal.
